Windows 7, 8, 10 - 32 or 64 bit
2 or 4 core processor like i5 or higher. For more than one instance a i7 is needed. min. 4gb ram.
The processor should have a minimum of 2 threads for each instance that is used (1 for main and 1 for dmc).
These processors can handle these instances:
i7-5820K (3.30 - 2.90 GHz)
22 instances without dmc and 11 with dmc
i7-6700 (3.4 GHz)
28 instances without dmc and 14 instances with dmc
Xeon E3-1225 v5 (3.30 - 3.30 GHz)
7 instances without dmc and 3 with dmc
2 instances without dmc and 1 with dmc
VM Ware is supported.
The RADIO OPTIMIZER works with every soundcard, but we recommend soundcards with ASIO support.
You can download the Asio4All audio driver here in the forum for free.
To use the MPX out for stereo and RDS/RBDS you need a soundcard with 192 Khz. For non commercial use the Steinberg UR22 MK2 and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 are very inexpensive soundcards (http://www.thomann.de).
First setup for a stable work:
Menu => Settings => Application Priority = Real Time
Menu => Settings => Run At Startup = checked
Menu => Optimizer => Soundcard => Settings => Settings => Priority = High
Menu => Optimizer => Processor => Priority => Main = High
If the cpu doesn't have much power you should disable the DMC Clipper at the processor, otherwise set
Menu => Optimizer => Processor => Priority => DMC = High
If more than one instance has been created the cpu affinity should be divided reasonable to the cores. For example for each instance one core, the core 0 should not be used (Windows system).
Menu => Optimizer => Processor => Affinity => Main/DMC => check the required cores.
Core settings example:
CPU 0 = Windows System
Instance 1 Affinity Main CPU 1, Affinity DMC CPU 2
Instance 2 Affinity Main CPU 3, Affinity DMC CPU 4
Instance 3 Affinity Main CPU 5, Affinity DMC CPU 6
and so on...
